Siemens Laser Analytics AB
Short description of the participating partner organization
Siemens Laser Analytics (SLA) originated from AltOptronic AB which was founded in 1984 as a spin-off company from Chalmers University of Technology and delivered its first laser based process gas analyzers in 1992. SLA has currently a staff of around 25 people. Today, the company is one of the leading providers of analyzers for industrial process control and environmental applications, all based on the TDLAS technique, with a steadily increasing production rate, presently of around 300 measurement units per year. It has thus served a variety of process industries from chemical plants to power stations for about 15 years. For combustion processes, Siemens provides state-of-the-art technology for in-situ combustion control, gas cleaning (deNOx, protection of the electrostatic precipitator), turbo-generator monitoring and continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS). In combustion control these analyzers can be used directly in the hot combustion zone.
